Now admit it, we all love an afternoon tea...

My gruncle and his lovely lady Elaine are holding a afternoon tea party - and he's made a banana loaf! - to fund raise for Eilidh.

Tea Jennys will be selling her wares... exquisitely pretty cake stands, candles and teaglasses... and donating 10% of her takings to the Whizzy Wheels Fund.

Donations for the afternoon teas will also be taken...

Update 11/10/10 - And what a success it was raising £329.38 for Eilidh's Whizzy Wheels with banana loaf, scones, muffins and cakes... They had a great afternoon, catching up with Elaine's work colleagues and family, and sat last night, happy with their total raised, replete with afternoon yummy tea, relaxing with a glass of well-deserved wine...

yummy cakes!
So a big "Thank you" to gruncle and Elaine for organising the first fundraising event and thank you for making it such a wonderful success!  And also to TeaJennys - her cakestands are beautiful!

Run, Sally, Run 10/10/10

A friend, Sally will be running in the Royal Parks Half marathon in Hyde Park, London this Sunday.  Sally enjoys running and has not sought any type of sponsorship in the past.  But this year Sally is asking friends, family and colleagues from Logica to sponsor her with all monies raised going to the Whizzy Wheels Fund - how fantastic is that!

Update 11/10/10 -  Sally completed the half marathon on Sunday in 2 hours 11 minutes and 5 seconds.

Well Done, Sally!

She said that it was "hot and hard" and that she has "lots of blisters" but that "running through London parks was beautiful".

Sally - in the middle - and team Logica

And she raised a wonderful £310.86 (at least, if not more!) for Eilidh's Whizzy Wheels!

wheyhey, Sally!

Thank you so much, Sally and to everyone who sponsored her, too: we really are very grateful...
